October is one of 3 Disability Awareness Months (NDEAM), so SWE members learned some ASL before the month ended! We learned basic greetings, finger-spelling, and more while playing fun games to test our knowledge. Students also learned about the origin and impact of ASL in our culture and were also informed about the Deaf Culture Alliance here at UT which is open to accepting students who are interested in learning about and achieving fluency in ASL.
