We partnered with OSU college mentor for kids to put on 5 stations explaining various disciplines of engineering. We had students ranging in age from 1st through 5th grade so the stations had to be engaging as well as versitile so different ages could engage. The stations included designing a catapult (mechanical), designing a roller coaster (civil), coding with ozobots (computer science), coding with binary (electrical and computer science), and designing parachutes (aerospace). This event allowed us to share our love of engineering and problem solving with the next generation of engineers. It also allowed us to interact with our local Columbus community. Also during this event, the SWE volunteers get to mentor along side the CMFK organization.
