Participants helped 5-10 year old kids learn the difference between the liquid and solid states of matter through the creation of “slime” using water,  glue, food coloring and Borax. In addition, they also helped STEM NOLA’s little scientists to build a battery, using household items such as lemons, nails and copper wire, that powered a clock which they each got to take home.
