To enrich ourselves with important topics like sustainability, artificial intelligence, climate change, etc., UT’s SWE Outreach branch held a TED Talk event where students and other members were free to join over Zoom and watch different talks (mostly related to science and engineering). Attendees all took notes and shared our different thoughts afterward. We all engaged in important discussions about our futures as engineers, Texans, and college students and where we fit individually into our communities. It was a special and enriching event to host, especially to help students discover what fields and areas interest them before they start registering for their future classes in the upcoming weeks.
